With proper care, your jewelry will look like new for years to come! Here are some helpful tips and tricks to keep your pieces looking beautiful.
STORAGE
Proper storage will keep your jewelry looking beautiful for years to come. Our Jewelry Cases are our favorite option, but any airtight container or bag will work. Oxygen, moisture and other chemicals are what will tarnish or dull your jewelry. If you’re not going to be wearing a piece for a while, don’t leave it sitting out.
TANGLES
To help prevent tangles, we recommend closing all clasps before storing.
Chemicals: Although our jewelry is swim, sweat and shower-proof we do recommend avoiding prolonged exposure in chlorine, pools, hot tubs and spas.
CLEANING & POLISHING
If your jewelry needs polishing or begins to dull or tarnish, don’t worry – it can get back to it’s beautiful, shiny self. We recommend a Sunshine Polishing Cloth, but any jewelry cleaner will work.
Putting in your Tiny Twist Earrings
Each pair of Tiny Twists has a left and a right. They twist in different directions and are designed to twist away from your face. If you can’t tell which is which, don’t worry – you can always switch sides if you get it wrong the first time.

Pull apart. This is the best tip to getting your Tiny Twists in with ease! Using a gentle touch, carefully pull apart the loops which will make them easier to thread into your piercing.
step 2
Twist in. Once the Tiny Twist is around your lobe, push one end through your piercing and begin twisting it through, like you’re putting a key on a keychain.
step 3
Pinch together. Once they’re in, gently squeeze the loops back together to the distance of your liking.
step 4
Enjoy forever. They’re so easy to wear, you just may never take them out! But if you need to, repeat these steps backwards. Begin by pulling the loops gently apart, and untwisting them from your piercing.
choosing the correct diameter
We make our Tiny Twists in two sizes, 8MM and 6MM.
Typically, we recommend 8MM if you’re putting these in your first piercing, nose piercing or cartilage piercing.
If you’re putting these in your second or third piercing, if you have thin lobes, or if your first piercing is low on your lobe, we recommend the 6MM.
These are designed to fit snugly on your lobe to create the illusion of two tiny hoops, and to avoid snagging. If they are too big, we’d love to get you the correct size so they fit properly. Contact customer services or, if you have the wrong size and need to return them for the right size, head to our returns & exchanges page for an easy exchange.
Storage:
Store your jewelry, especially sterling silver, in an air-tight container when not being worn. Oxygen, moisture and other chemicals are what will tarnish or dull metals. If you’re not going to be wearing a piece for awhile, don’t leave it sitting out. A small ziplock bag works great!
Tangles:
To help prevent tangles, make sure all clasps are closed before storing.

Avoid prolonged exposure in chlorine, pools, hot tubs and spas.
To clean, gently shine with a Sunshine Polishing Cloth (for 14kt Gold Fill + Sterling Silver) or a 3M Pro Polish Pad (for Sterling Silver).
We only work with the highest quality precious metals: 925 Sterling Silver + 14kt Gold Fill. So you can wear your pieces everyday, forever.
Yes. We use .925 Sterling Silver, 14kt Gold Fill, and 14kt Rose Gold Fill. All of these metals are nickel-free.
14kt Gold Fill is a thick layer of solid 14kt gold that is heat and pressure bonded to a center core of high quality jeweler’s brass. With proper care, 14kt gold fill will last just as long as solid 14kt gold. Gold-filled pieces can still tarnish, but it takes special circumstances for that to happen. Pure gold doesn’t tarnish, so the thick layer of 14kt gold on gold-filled pieces prevents tarnishing.

Yes! Our pieces have a 60 day warranty for all chain and clasp defects. Email us right away to coordinate a timely repair. If it’s been more than 60 days, or it’s a different issue, please email us and we’ll work with you towards a solution.
